Export (save) a palette

You can use Microsoft PhotoDraw to export, or save, the palette (.pal) files you create. After you export a palette, you can open and use it in any other software program that supports the PAL file format.

  1. On the workspace or in the picture list, select an object.

  2. Open a workpane containing the color box or color list.

    If you don't see the color box or color list, you may need to scroll down the workpane.

  3. Click the arrow to the right of to the color box or color list.

  4. Click More Fill Colors, and then click the Custom Palette tab.

  5. In the Color palette list, select the palette you want to export.

  6. Click Export.

  7. Do one of the following.
  8. In the File name box, type a name for the palette (*pal) file.
